Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is Futsal?
Futsal is a dynamic, indoor version of football played on a smaller pitch with five players per team. It emphasises skill development, quick decision-making, and teamwork. The smaller playing area encourages creativity and ball control, making it an exciting and engaging way for children to improve their football skills while having fun.

2. What age groups do you offer futsal programs for?
We are starting out with programs for 7-10 year olds, providing a fun and engaging environment for young players. In the future, we plan to add sessions for older children to expand our offerings and foster their development. Stay tuned for updates on new age groups!

3. Do children need prior experience to join?
No experience in football or futsal is required! We welcome all children who are eager to participate, learn, and have fun. Our programs are designed for beginners, so everyone can feel comfortable getting involved.

4. What equipment does my child need to participate?
Children should wear clothing suitable for physical activity. Every player is required to wear shinpads. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the session.

5. How often are practices and games held?
Initially, we will run two sessions a week: one during the week and one on Saturday. There won't be any league games at this stage, but we may host friendly matches or enter summer tournaments in the future. Stay tuned for updates!

6. What is the duration of each practice and game?
Each session will last for an hour unless stated otherwise on the website.

7. Are there any fees associated with joining the club?
We will offer several free taster sessions to start. After that, the cost will be £7 per session. This allows kids to try futsal before committing to regular participation!

8. How can I register my child for the futsal program?
Bookings must be made through our website to ensure we adhere to the session capacities set by the sports hall provider. Please do not allow your child to attend without notifying us via the website. Thank you!

9. What safety measures are in place for participants?
The location has been carefully selected to ensure it’s suitable for futsal, prioritising the safety of all participants. All staff members are trained in first aid for emergencies. Additionally, we will ask all participants to fill out a medical form for our records.

10. Can parents volunteer or get involved with the club?
There are opportunities to volunteer as coaches or assist with events. If you're interested in helping out, please reach out to us for more information!

11. What are the club's values and goals?
The club has three core rules: 1. Everyone has fun, 2. Give 100% effort, and 3. Show respect to coaches and players at all times. The head coach emphasises being a positive role model, praising effort over outcome, and focusing on the individual development of all participants.
